A female Actias luna was taken at dusk at the edge of mixed hardwoods after being attracted to lanterns hung near a black walnut sapling, then released whirring; observers recorded a larval host on Juglans spp. and noted the wing span pattern as a hyphenate centre ring encircled by dark and pale bands, with Juglans nigra (black walnut) listed.
